爱德华·阿尔比是美国当代戏剧史上颇具影响力的剧作家,其著名戏剧《美国梦》、《谁害怕弗吉尼亚·沃尔夫》、《婴儿游戏》等均以戏中戏的结构蕴含着杀子的故事片段。以往国内学者鲜有关注阿尔比戏剧中的杀子故事,本文拟通过探讨杀子故事与阿尔比自身成长经历的关系、与西方神话传说中杀子故事的联系,解读阿尔比戏剧中的杀子故事的内涵和意义。本文结论:1.杀子故事是阿尔比戏剧创作的技巧之一,也是对荒诞派艺术手法的运用。2.杀子故事的社会意义在于揭示社会伦理的沦丧,价值观的混乱颠倒。3.杀子故事的哲理意义在于揭示现代社会人性的衰退,人类生存状态的荒诞性。
Edward Albi is an influential playwright in the history of American contemporary drama.
