孙中山领导的反清革命,得到了海外华侨的鼎力支持,其原因应包括以下四点;民族主义情感即华侨认同中国、关心祖国命运的情感;华侨在海外的悲苦际遇和清政府的懦弱无能,促使华侨民族自强意识的觉醒;孙中山宣传和倡导的民主政治的强大号召力;华侨社会独特的文化特征和孙中山个人人格魅力。
The anti-Qing revolution led by Sun Yat-sen has won the full support of overseas Chinese. The reasons include the following four points: the nationalistic feeling that overseas Chinese should recognize China and take care of the emotion of the motherland; the overseas Chinese tragedies and the weak and incompetence of the Qing government, The awakening of overseas Chinese’s sense of national self-reliance; the strong appeal of Sun Yat-sen’s propaganda and advocacy of democratic politics; the unique cultural characteristics of overseas Chinese society and the personal charisma of Dr. Sun Yat-sen.
