我国的切削刀具一般采用 W18Cr4V 及W6Mo5Cr4V2两种高速钢制作。W18Cr4V 钢的淬火加热温度在1270~1310℃范围内,目前国内多采用1280℃。由于材质上的差异,同一牌号的高速钢,其最佳淬火加热温度相差20℃。加之目前测温仪表示值误差较大,不够稳定,又多采用间断式测温,且盐浴内的温度也不够均匀,因而,淬火加热温度的控制不易准确,往往会出现刀具过热,过烧或欠热等现象。另外,采用高的淬火加热温度,虽可得到较高的硬度,但同时导致了韧性下降,容易产生淬火
