—年一度的世界新闻摄影比赛(过去曾习惯地简称为“荷赛”)依拍摄题材划分为九类项目,其中一项为“新闻特写”。在历届比赛评选出的最佳新闻照片中,大约有1/3是从“新闻特写”类的获奖作品中选拔出来的。在其他几类的系列照片中,其点题的照片,大多也是特写照片。去年来华展出的世界新闻影展中,留给观众印象较深的,多半也是 - The annual World Press Photo Contest (used to be abbreviated as “Dutch Games” in the past) is classified into nine categories according to subject matter, one of which is “News Feature”.
