1993年6月18日笔者在河北省河间市时村乡姚涧河村发现大批棉铃虫成虫于晚8时左右飞往胡萝卜地块。在一块约一亩的胡萝卜地里,平均每平方米有蛾15头在胡萝卜花上觅食。19日晚7时前,发动棉农用1000倍的万灵喷洒在胡萝卜花上,不足1小时即发现大批棉铃虫蛾中毒死亡。次日上午实地调查,胡萝卜地里,每平方米有死蛾8-17头,平均每平方米14头。在胡萝卜地周围40-80米也发现有被毒死的棉铃虫蛾,平均每平方米0.9—2头。从19日至27日每晚在胡萝卜花上喷万灵,21日和24日当地正值蛾高
June 18, 1993 I Hejian City, Hebei Province, when the village Yaojian He found a large number of adult cotton bollworm flew to about 8 pm carrot plots. In an area of about 1 acre of carrot, an average of 15 moths per square meter feed on carrot flowers.
