Toyota is the center of Japan’s automobile industry with a very large industrial community. In recent years, the Toyota City Government has adopted “Wakuwaku Project” and other systems to encourage citizens to form groups to participate in community service and achieved excellent results. According to the survey, a large number of Toyota retired and serving employees relied on the geographical network of job-related relationships to voluntarily form groups and participate in community volunteer service activities. Through further data analysis, it is also found that the long-term residence of male employees in the automotive industry, especially the employees of Toyota Motor Corporation, are similar in terms of their job market and place of residence. Toyota’s experience shows a new type of urban development different from the West, developed industries and long-term accumulation of social relations capital, laying a solid social foundation for the development of its regional society.
