Yuanlin, a prominent figure in the Republic of China, was the graveyard of Yuan Shikai in the Republic of China. In early May 2016, Yuan Lin was promulgated by the State Council as a national key cultural relic protection unit, which allowed Yuan Lin to enter the public field of vision. Yuan Lin not only followed the Ming and Qing imperial mausoleum architecture, but also adopted the construction techniques of Europe and the United States, as a major pioneering work in the history of Chinese mausoleum architecture. Yuan Lin endeavored to highlight the Royal style at the same time, but also different from the mausoleum. All this reveals the changing identity of Yuan Shikai on the turbulent stage of history.
