Yunnan Tin Industry Co., Ltd. is a large-scale non-ferrous metals joint venture company with more than 40,000 employees and an annual output value of more than 900 million yuan. In 1991, the company’s economic development fell into a trough due to the fact that the management did not meet the requirements of the market economy, causing a loss of more than 50 million yuan. In order to get rid of the predicament, the company carried out comprehensive reforms in the three systems of personnel, labor, and wages, and promoted economic development. In the first eight months of 1992, the company’s main production economic and technical indicators were fully completed. The total output of non-ferrous metals was 21,188 tons, accounting for 75.13% of the annual plan, which was an increase over the same period of last year.
