21世纪是知识经济的时代,人力资本的存量成为个人或企业核心竞争力的的重要来源,教育是实现人力资本投资的重要手段之一。人力资本投资具有收益不对称性、滞后性、风险性等特点,所以初高中生是否要花费成本继续高等教育将依赖其成本收益比的分析。文章以贝克尔的人力资本投资理论为基础,旨在分析现中国近年来初中生和高中生大面积弃考背后的理论逻辑并提出相关建议。
The 21st century is an era of knowledge-based economy. The stock of human capital becomes an important source of individual or enterprise’s core competitiveness. Education is one of the important means to realize human capital investment. Human capital investment has the characteristics of income asymmetry, lag, risk and so on. Therefore, whether high school students should spend the cost or not will depend on the analysis of cost-benefit ratio of higher education. The article is based on Becker’s theory of human capital investment and aims to analyze the theoretical logic behind the large-scale abandonment of junior middle school and high school students in China in recent years and make relevant suggestions.
