In reservoir development and reservoir engineering, three-dimensional seismic exploration technology is playing an increasingly important role in the discovery of 3D seismic applications in these fields every year. In particular, the three-dimensional seismic or time-dependent seismic technique enables the use of computer The days to monitor oilfield development are not far off. Perhaps this monitoring technology will soon become the standard for the oil industry. Field production monitors can be endless, near real time to the formation pressure, temperature and fluid changes sent to the control center. In the control center, the positive and negative inversion of reservoir simulations, elastic waves, and acoustic waves will tell us the answers to these changes and will be used to control reservoir development through advanced computerized video displays. In this paper, we use the four-dimensional seismic amplitude analysis developed by Lamont-Doherty EarthObservato-ry at Columbia University to analyze the LF of sandstone reservoirs in the Eugene Islands 330/388 block of the Gulf of Mexico. Preliminary results show that in a basin like the Northern Gulf of Mexico, changes in the amplitude of three-dimensional seismic reflections can directly reveal the presence of clastic reservoirs in the Tertiary Basin. Successful drilling of Well A-8ST also proves that the change of amplitude of 4-D seismic can effectively help to find reservoirs. At present, we are using the existing logging data combined with seismic inversion technique to further analyze the amplitude changes. We believe this four-seismics technology, which uses repeated 3D seismic exploration, will play an increasingly important role in reservoir development and production.
