Studies have shown that: p53 gene evolutionarily conservative. The gene encoding product is a cell growth regulator. Wild-type p53 gene showed obvious cell transformation inhibition, its loss or mutation inactivation is closely related to the occurrence of certain tumors. p53 is a frequent site of genetic abnormalities in common tumor cells.
