In 2000, the contract value of foreign direct investment in Liaoning Province was 5.28 billion U.S. dollars, up 16.3 percent over the previous year. The actually utilized foreign investment was 2.52 billion U.S. dollars, up 11 percent over the same period of last year. The scale, level and structure of foreign direct investment have all been newly increased. The main features of foreign direct investment are as follows: the scale of foreign direct investment projects is expanding.
