文章从“墨”、“色”、“法”三个方面来谈,主要谈“色”和“法”两个方面。文章简单介绍了设色的基本方法,包括积彩法、撒盐法、撒味精法的制作肌理的方法,还有“中外合璧”的创新工笔花鸟画——岩彩画。文章通过与传统工笔花鸟画的对比,进行分析、总结,得出“随心赋彩”这一观点,然后谈工笔花鸟画的设色技巧,文章主要对传统的分染法并结合自己的观点进行描述。
