Introduction With the widespread use of internal combustion traction on the railway, an important issue is the erosion of the engine cooling system. In terms of the overall cooling system, cylinder liner and body corrosion have been described more specifically in Report B13 / RP16 and why they cause significant damage due to corrosion.
