《答青年词作者问》原是1991年在《歌曲》编辑部主办的“全国未来词曲作家演唱家成才之路‘小天才’杯大选赛与系列讲座”期间,和学员们一次坐谈时的问答。那是很即兴的,无准备,也无系统,谈得异常简单。更何况一晃四年过去了,那些谈话仿佛已是昨日黄花。而编辑部好心把它发表出来,真有点可惜了宝贵的篇幅。如今,歌词创作在发展着,歌词美学的探讨在深入着,多种词刊、词报的出版,显示着歌词作者的新阵容。而歌词创作的手法、风格、样式更丰繁、更新颖,歌词作者与人民心灵的共振更广阔、更趋深层了。歌词艺术晕染出一派“现代的传统,传统的现代”的新风貌。
