过去测定原油析蜡点是采用粘温曲线法。此法优点是比较简便,但有一定的滞后性。这主要是由于旋转粘度计本身有它一套复杂的机械传动机构,只有当原油中析出一定数量的蜡晶后才能影响到所测的粘度值。因此,这种方法测定的析蜡点数据偏低。为能较准确地测出原油析蜡点,曾先后对大庆、青海、濮阳、长庆、任丘等原油用偏光显微镜进行观察,通过取得的大量实验数据与粘温曲线法和粘度增加法所测原油析蜡点的数据相对比,表明用偏光显微镜法测定原油析蜡点是可行的。
