Angela Carter, two historical novels by Lydz Boden, a suspect who committed the “ax murder case” in 1892, mark the turning point of his short story creation. These two novels simultaneously show the marginalized events and the marginalized people. With the help of the postmodernist novels’ writing techniques, they fully reflect the author’s views on gender politics, class politics and text politics in the construction of intertextuality in historical novels. The creation of postmodernist historical novels opened up new avenues.
