But a new study of Beagles found that regular physical activity, intellectual stimulation, and an antioxidant-rich diet can keep the old dog’s -- perhaps human’s -- brain in excellent shape. This study, funded by the National Institute of Geriatrics, for the first time studied the combined effects of these controlling factors and suggested that the combination of diet and mental exercise may be more effective than single factor control.
