出于种种原因,今人对黄筌绘画的风格多有误解,就其用色而言,很多人简单地认为黄筌的绘画色彩“浓艳”(王伯敏《中国绘画史》)或“金碧辉煌”(阮荣春等《中国美术史》)。而笔者研究发现,黄筌绘画虽以色彩见长,其面貌却是多样的,有时甚至不施彩色。从一些文字记载来看,黄筌的某些作品确实可能有“浓艳”或者“金碧辉煌”的效果。
For a variety of reasons, people today have many misunderstandings about the style of Huangpi’s painting. Many people simply consider Huangpi’s painting color “Yan Yan” (Wang Boyin’s “History of Chinese Painting”) or “ Magnificent ”(Ruan Rongchun and other“ Chinese art history ”). However, the author’s research shows that although the paintings of Huangpi are known for their color, their appearances are varied and sometimes they are not even applied in color. From some written records, some works of Huangpi may indeed have the effect of “thick” or “magnificent”.
