蚕茧,别名蚕衣、茧黄、蚕茧壳等,为蚕蛾科昆虫家蚕蛾的茧壳。夏季收集孵化出蚕蛾的茧壳,晒干。我国大部地区均有饲养。蚕茧呈长椭圆形或中间稍缢缩,长3~4cm,直径1.7~2.1cm。表面白色或淡黄色,有不规则皱纹,并有附着的蚕丝,呈绒毛状。其内壁的丝很有规律。体轻而韧,不易撕裂。微有腥气,味淡。蚕茧性甘、温,无毒;入脾经。有清热凉血、止血疗疮、止渴的功效。治
