The comprehensive trading company as a large-scale trading enterprise group of the Eastern model has increasingly attracted worldwide attention. Shanghai Machinery & Equipment Import & Export Corporation proposed the experience of Japan and South Korea as early as in 1992 and explored the slogan of an integrated trading company model. On March 1st, 1994, Comrade Huang Ju affirmed the direction of piloting comprehensive trading companies in the reform of foreign trade system at the Shanghai Foreign Economic and Trade Work Conference and emphasized that: “The pilot enterprises must have a high starting point for designing projects and must comply with international norms.
