我厂始建于1958年,是由冶金部投资定点生产钴产品的企业。70年代中期,自筹资金兴建和日趋完善了钨化合物生产线、化工材料——氯碱、工业硫酸生产线。实际生产能力:钨化合物2590吨/年,钴产品400吨/年,工业盐酸12000吨/年,烧碱5000吨/年,工业硫酸6000吨/年。由建厂初期单一生产钴产品发展成为拥有钨、钴、化工材料三大系列产品的中型综合冶炼企业。自投产以来至1989年底,累计上缴利税3.4亿元,为国家投资总额的20倍,1981年至1989年累计创汇6144万美元。
