Inducing differentiation of tumor cells into normal mature cells is an important topic that scholars in various countries have devoted to research since the 1970s. Since Fri-end reported for the first time that erythroid differentiation of murine Friend’s erythroleukemia cells was induced with dimethyl sulfoxide, more and more substances were found to act as differentiation inducers for leukemia cells. Koeff-ler further classifies these substances into physiological and non-physiological inducers. Since then, the differentiation inducer of leukemia cells has gradually shifted from experimental research to clinical application. This article gives an overview of the research progress of differentiating agents in recent years. Vitamin D3 Experimental Study and Clinical Application Vitamin D3 and its metabolites have been widely known to regulate the body’s calcium and phosphorus metabolism, but their effects on normal cell growth and tumor cells have not been well understood.
