一个国家的外部形象就是由传播主客体因素相互作用而形成的客观形态,在一定的历史时期和发展阶段具有相对的稳定性。近30年来,在追求国家稳定和富强的目标中,中国和爱尔兰两国都制定了符合本国实际的发展战略,在较短的时间内实现了经济、社会、文化跨越和腾飞,从而在实现本民族复兴的道路上取得了相互认同。通过对爱尔兰为传播对象的样本分析,新时期中国大国形象的要素特征应包括文明大国形象、东方大国形象、负责任大国形象和社会主义大国形象等,应从这些要素出发进一步探索新时期大国形象的提升策略。
