The financial department of Dangyang City, Hubei Province, persisted in taking economic construction as the center, and aimed at promoting the production of open source and invigorating enterprises. It also strengthened scientific management, improved economic efficiency, paid close attention to increasing losses, and effectively promoted the development and improvement of enterprises. The city’s 14 budget industrial enterprises from 1988 to 1990 achieved a total industrial output value of 239.36 million yuan, a sales income of 308.60 million yuan, a tax of 14.2 million yuan, and a profit of 18.67 million yuan, respectively.
