黄河下游历代较大的河道变迁,多在河南境内。因此在已弃故道之两旁,还遗留下不少古堤。现在下游有些堤防,是在原有古堤的基础上加培起来的,仍是下游防洪的主要堤防;还有些古堤,因长期废除,已被破坏。现将河南境现存的古堤,作以下简介,以供修防上之参考。一、古阳堤河南境内汉代的古黄河道,原走阳武(今原阳)、延津胙城以北,至黎阳(今浚县)南,流向东北,由天津入海。这个古河道在延津一带仍很明显。当时黄河的北堤,历史文献上称为“古阳堤”自武陟木栾店向东北经新乡市南,沿古河道入滑县、浚县境,现在还有堤形。在金明昌五年(公元1194年)黄河南徙
