Translation is an intertextual cross-cultural exchange. It is not only a process of reproducing textual information from the perspective of intertextuality, but also a social activity closely related to the translator’s psychosocial activities. Since the combination of translation studies and intertextuality theories, the intertextuality of translation studies breaks the closed model of traditional translation studies and the perspective is again shifted to translators who are one of multiple subjects of translation. This paper studies and reveals the social psychological tendency of translators in the process of translating from the perspective of intertextuality and translation psychology, and analyzes the factors that affect the translator’s social and psychological changes as well as the translator’s psychological activities on the translation process and the translation results.
