Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of long-chain non-coding RNA in high-metastatic human liver cancer (HTLC) of glioma and to explore its potential as a marker of glioma. Methods The expression of HULC in 30 specimens of gliomas was detected by red-time PCR. The expression of HULC was analyzed in relation to the pathological grade of glioma and the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and neovascular microvessel density (MVD) . Results The expression of HULC in glioma tissue was increased with the malignant degree of glioma, and positively correlated with tumor pathological grade (WHO-II, WHO-III and WHO-IV) (P <0.05) VEGF expression was positively correlated (r = 0.516, r = 0.515, P <0.05). Conclusion The expression of HULC correlates with the malignant degree of glioma and the density of angiogenesis. It may be used as a potential tumor marker for clinical diagnosis.
