Toxoplasma gondii heat shock protein 70 is a type of protein with the highest structural homology. It is expressed in vivo lower but it is highly expressed in the acute deadly infection stage of Toxoplasma gondii. As a major ligand of TLR4, TgHSP70 plays an important role in Toxoplasma gondii infection and immune response and inflammatory response in vivo. It can induce host to produce a series of immune responses by activating TLR4-mediated signaling pathway. Therefore, this review summarizes the research progress of TgHSP70-induced TLR4-related signaling pathways and further clarifies the role of TgHSP70 in the development of toxoplasmosis and its mechanism to provide a theoretical reference for the effective prevention and treatment of toxoplasmosis.
