佛手花为芸香科植物佛手的花朵和花蕾。佛手又名五指橘、佛手柑。原植物为常绿小乔木。佛手主产于闽、粤、川、江、浙等省,其中浙江金华佛手最为著名。佛手具有较高的观赏价值、药用价值和经济价值。其果实为中药“佛手”。佛手开花时采收花蕾或花,除去杂质,干燥。药材性状本品长椭圆形,长1.5至2cm。表面淡黄棕色,花萼杯状,或略呈五角形。花瓣5片,具褐色麻点,雄蕊多数,着生干花盘周围,有的花瓣脱落后可见
