中国昆虫学研讨会在中国科学院学部委员蒲蛰龙教授主持下于1990年8月5～9日在广州召开。中国昆虫学会理事长朱弘复教授到会,出席会议代表近170人,其中包括台湾、香港及美籍华裔昆虫学者60余人。蒲蛰龙、赵善欢、台湾省著名昆虫学家贡谷绅、朱耀沂及美国华裔昆虫学家马可等13位专家教授分别在大会上作了专题报告,虞以新教授也在大会上作了“中国卫生害虫研究进展”报告。105位代表分别在四个专业组报告交流,这是40余年来海峡两岸昆虫学家的首次聚会,会议期间不仅学术交流活跃,并充满着同胞情意。临别时互祝祖国早日统一,相约在1992年北京召开的第19届国际昆虫学大会时再见。
Chinese entomology seminar under the auspices of Professor Pu Zhelong, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was held in Guangzhou on 5-9 August 1990. Professor Zhu Hongfu, chairman of the Chinese Entomological Society, attended the conference and nearly 170 delegates attended the conference, including more than 60 entomologists from Taiwan, Hong Kong and the United States. Pu Zhelong, Zhao Shan Huan, Taiwan’s famous entomologist Gong Gu Shen, Zhu Yiyi and American Chinese Entomologist Mark and other 13 experts and professors respectively made a special report at the conference, Professor Yu Yixin also made a speech at the meeting, “Chinese Health Pest Research Progress ”report. 105 delegates respectively reported on exchanges in the four professional groups. This is the first gathering of entomologists across the Taiwan Strait in more than 40 years. During the conference, not only academic exchange was active but also compassionate fellow citizens. At the farewell, I wish the early reunification of our motherland, coincidentally, goodbye at the 19th International Entomological Conference held in Beijing in 1992.
