华俊于1977年考入西北工业大学飞机系,之后,一步一个脚印向前奋进,先后获得学士、硕士、博士学位.华俊主持和参加了国家自然科学基金、航空科学基金、国家教委择优资助基金以及军、民用飞机等方面的研究课题十余项,发表论文20余篇,并先后在瑞典、日本和美国宣读了学术论文.最值得一提的是,为了研究先进飞机跨音速机翼设计方法,华俊先后三次去德国宇航院进行合作研究,咬定青山不放松,完成了卓有成效的工作.1987年4月至8月,华俊第一次应邀来到德国宇航院设计空气动力学研究所从事“采用计算流体力学方法进行跨音速翼型设计”的研究.华俊改进了跨音速翼型的性能,这一项目在航空部专家考评中,被评为优等.
