科学家研究发现,磁场力对植物的生长有着微妙的影响。例如他们在对玉米种子作催芽实验中发现,凡是胚根朝向地球南磁极的种子都早几昼夜出芽,而且根和茎都比较健壮,抵抗疾病的能力也强。相反,胚根朝向北磁极的种子所生出的芽,容易长毒菌,抵抗力差,并且还慢慢地弯向南磁极。后来在对小麦和其它一些植物的种子作这样的实验,结果相同。
Scientists have found that magnetic force has a subtle effect on plant growth. For example, when they conducted experiments on germination of corn seeds, they found that all the radicle seeds radiated towards the south pole of the Earth sprouted up early and day and night, and the roots and stems were relatively robust. Their resistance to diseases was also strong. Conversely, shoots radiated from the radicles toward the North Pole tend to germinate, weakly resistant, and also bend slowly toward the South Pole. Later experiments on the seeds of wheat and some other plants gave the same result.
