This article discusses the thematic evolution in Aboriginal poetry: death, return and rebirth, and analyzes how such evolution coincides with the Aboriginal poet’s text of life. The re-creation of poetry on the basis of truly understanding the traditional culture provides space and possibility for the rebirth and development of Aboriginal culture.
