翻译是一个思维活动过程。译者在将原语信息变为译语信息的过程中经历了一个复杂的思维过程,而这一过程正是以往对翻译过程研究所忽略的。本文认为,正确的翻译过程的水平程序应该是“理解—释义—表达”。在这个程序中,存在着两种语言间的迁移现象:原语的正迁移(positive transfer)和负迁移(negative transfer)。对翻译过程的研究,目的不在于去规范翻译行为,而是由此追寻译者的思维轨迹,以便对译文作出客观的评价,进而达到对翻译质量乃至翻译对交际的影响进行科学的评价。
Translation is a process of thinking activity. The translator experienced a complex process of thinking in the process of translating primitive information into target language information, and this process is neglected in the past by translation studies. This paper argues that the correct level of translation process should be “understanding - paraphrase - expression”. In this program, there are two kinds of language transfer between the phenomenon: the original positive and negative negative transfer. The purpose of the study of translation process is not to standardize the translation behavior but to search for the translator’s thinking track in order to objectively evaluate the translation and to make a scientific evaluation of the translation quality and the impact of translation on communication.
