在泄水闸或溢流堰与后接陡槽之间,为了使二者底坡上水流平顺,达到水流紧贴坡底面,常选用抛物线或圆弧线段来连接。对于大中型水利水电工程,连接段曲线,需由水工模型试验确定,但对尚处于初期设计阶段的大中型工程,或小型水利水电工程,在缺乏水力试验资料的情况下,常参考已建工程先例进行类比拟设。参考书中,提出若无试验资料时,可采用如下抛物线方程式(见图)。
