After the oilfield enters the stage of high water cut, micro-structure often plays a certain role in controlling the distribution of remaining oil. Domestic and foreign studies generally believe that there is a great potential for the development of remaining oil in the forward tectonism, followed by a bevel micro-structural area and a small development potential of residual oil in the negative tectonic tectonic region. After studying the typical “narrow” and “thin” sand reservoirs of the four fault block Pu-I oil formation in the northern part of Putaohua Oilfield, it is considered that the micro-structure has little effect on the remaining oil distribution in the middle and later stages of the oilfield development. The sedimentary microfacies have strong control over the distribution of remaining oil, which can provide some reference for tapping the residual oil in “narrow” and “thin” sand reservoirs.
