耐冷性是玉米的主要抗性之一,是玉米生理、生态研究的一个重要内容。榆林地区及许多生长期较短的地方,玉米的苗期和灌浆后期都处于低温环境,对玉米的出苗、生长、灌浆和成熟极为不利。生产上虽然可以选用早熟种,但成熟太早的品种不能充分利用光热资源,产量较低。因此,研究鉴定玉米苗期的耐冷性,培育耐冷性强的杂交种具有十分重要的意义。我们从1978年起对育种的基础材料进行了萌发期和幼苗期耐冷性鉴定。主要目的在于低温筛选耐冷的种质材料,确定育种上有用的耐冷指标,提出可行的耐冷性育种的有效方法。
Chilling tolerance is one of the major resistances of maize and is an important part of maize physiological and ecological research. Yulin area and many shorter growing areas, maize seedling and filling stage are in a low temperature environment, corn emergence, growth, filling and maturity is extremely unfavorable. Although the production of early maturing species can be selected, but mature early varieties can not make full use of solar thermal resources, lower yields. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the identification of cold tolerance in maize seedling and to cultivate the hybrids with high cold tolerance. Since 1978, we have identified the cold tolerance of the breeding base material at the germination and seedling stages. The main purpose is to screen cold-tolerant germplasm materials at low temperature, determine the useful cold tolerance index in breeding, and propose an effective method for cold-tolerance breeding.
