Bourbon Benjamin and his colleagues at the University of Queensland analyzed DNA samples and IQ scores from 18,000 children aged 6 to 18 from Australia, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States to find the difference between DNA and IQ scores in these children contact. The results showed that a gene called FNBPIL was significantly associated with children’s IQ. This gene has previously been shown to be the most important predictor of adult intelligence.
