随着网络的普及,电子地图在互联网上的应用需求日益迫切;但是海量的空间数据对互联网的带宽、速度都有巨大的挑战。目前互联网上运行的电子地图绝大多数为影像数据。影像数据虽然解决了大数据量、结构复杂、客户端需下载插件的问题,但是对空间数据的查询量算等功能又有了限制.因此解决在互联网上运行数据量大、数据结构复杂的矢量数据问题被提上议事日程。本文描述了当前互联网上比较流行的AJAX技术的工作模式和技术特点以及该技术在Internet环境下的消息响应模式与应用,最后介绍了AJAX技术在电子地图开发中的应用。
