The freedom and liberation of the Edo Period cats inspired the creation of Ukiyo-e artists. Beauty and cats appear in the picture at the same time, “stolen life half-idle ” elegant elegant vivid paper. Cat’s agile and naughty, people’s teasing and imitation, banter transformation between people and cats, also fit the Ukiyo-e painting “the heart of playful” aesthetic logic. Thus, in these Ukiyo-e paintings that incorporate traditional Japanese manga techniques, “cats” that are exaggeratedly funny and highly anthropomorphic become the visual wonders of the Japanese cat culture.
