新疆地处祖国西北边陲,土地面积广袤,在公路、铁路、民航、管道等多种运输方式中,公路客货运输量分别占95%和84%,处于主导地位。从某种意义上说,新疆的经济就是公路上的经济。但不尽如人意的是,受新疆特殊的地理和气候条件影响,山区公路高填方、急弯、陡坡路段较多,平原地区公路荒漠、戈壁路段较长,对公路交通运输安全构成了一定的威胁;再加之许多小轿车无视限速令,穿插如飞;大货车超载抢道,无视旁人……种种因素令公路安全成为新疆经济发展的一大阻力。
Located in the northwestern border of the motherland, Xinjiang boasts a vast land area. Among various modes of transportation, such as roads, railways, civil aviation and pipelines, the number of passenger and cargo traffic on the highway accounts for 95% and 84% respectively, playing a leading role. In a sense, Xinjiang’s economy is the economy on the road. However, it is not entirely satisfactory that due to the special geographical and climatic conditions in Xinjiang, there are more high-fillings, sharp bends and steep slopes in mountainous areas, the deserts in the plains and the long stretches of the Gobi, which make up a certain degree of road traffic safety Threaten; coupled with many cars ignoring the speed limit order, interspersed with flying; large truck overloaded Road, ignore others ...... Various factors make road safety a major drag on the economic development in Xinjiang.
