The latest data show that CNOOC’s overseas oil interests have exceeded 90 million tons / year, operating more than 150 million tons / year, of which more than 90% of equity oil are sold locally. Therefore, for overseas upstream oil companies, selling crude oil is a direct measure of converting output into benefits and is a key factor in determining the investment risk. Taking Sinopec’s overseas projects as an example, this article analyzes the overseas non-operators’ projects in light of the characteristics of their own projects and resource countries, and discusses the concerns and exercises of guaranteeing the sales proceeds of crude oil
