根据不同城市、乡镇的实际情况,为满足时代发展的实际需要,对于美术教学内容的选择,农村中小学美术课程需要按一定比例补充乡土教材,吸收乡土文化。教师不仅要注意学科之间的联系,还要意识到课外美术活动是学校美术教学的有机组成部分,今后的美术课程与地方文化资源的开发和利用已经成为开展美术教育的重要内容。
