经久耐用的Al_2O_3-SiC-C耐火砖铁水预处理时,应用Al_2O_3-SiC-C耐火砖(A型)做铁水包的耐火材料衬。日本钢管公司福山厂200t的铁水包就使用了这种耐火材料。根据耐火材料损坏机理的研究,又生产一种B型Al_2O_3-SiC-C耐火砖,这种砖更不容易损坏。旋转渣侵蚀试验表明,B型砖的寿命是A型砖的2.2倍。但是,铁水包试验指出,B型砖有剥落现象。为找出B型砖剥落的原因,对B型砖和经过许多小时加热后的砖进行了对比研究,最后研制出一种抗侵蚀、抗剥落的C型Al_2O_3-SiC-C耐火砖。
