1978—1984年,作者对来自国内外不同生态条件下的7,344份水稻品种资源,在苗期或成株期,用人工接种的方法,对稱瘟病、白叶枯病和褐稻虱的抗性进行了鉴定,结果表明:同时抗上述两病一虫的有BG379—3、IR26和IR36等181份品种(系),占2.5%。这些品种主要是由国际水稻研究所提供的籼稻型品种(系)。在粳稻型品种中尚未发现同时能抗上述两病一虫者。王齐头、红禾和农虎4号等2,084份品种(系),对上述两病一虫均无抗性,这些主要是中国品种,占28.4%。对褐稻虱具有抗性的,主要是国外的籼稻型品种,粳稻型品种几乎全感此虫。抗稻瘟病的品种也以籼稻型品种为主,并且抗性较强;粳稻型的品种抗性较弱,在来自云南省的陆稻品种中抗稻瘟病的比例高。抗白叶枯病的以粳稻型品种居多,而且抗性强;宽叶类型籼稻品种易感此病。
