首先按照《安全生产法》、《道路交通安全法》、《公路法》等法律的规定,切实抓好道路工程建设项目“三同时”工作,对新建、改建、扩建的重点公路建设项目开展安全设施设计审查和安全专项验收工作;第二要加大道路交通安全宣传教育力度,增强全社会的道路交通安全意识;第三要加快基层交通安全预防体系的建设,把预防道路交通事故工作落到基层;第四要适应新形势,完善道路交通事故分类和统计方法,提高事故统计的科学性;第五要建立完善道路交通事故紧急救援体系和建立健全营运车辆驾驶员和企业交通安全信息公告制度。
