On the third day after New Year’s Day in 2002, Leica Geosystems routine routine visits to the users around the country began. Before leaving for planning, I locked my destination to Yanmenguan. The memory of Yanmenguan, which for me dates back almost to extracurricular books in high school, never approached it. Yanmenguan said the history of “three off in northern Shanxi,” known to be dangerous. The Yanmen Mountain which lies on top lies between the Datong Basin in the north of Shanxi Province and the Xindai Basin in the Jinzhong Basin. Because of its steepness and difficulty in climbing the cliffs, it constitutes a giant defense of north and south and has been a strategically important point for connecting the Great Wall and the Central Plains since ancient times.
