板栗属壳斗科(FAGACEAC),栗属(CASTANEN MILL),落叶乔木,为我国普遍栽培的果树。它种仁丰厚肥美,可以鲜食、炒食或煮食,其营养丰富,含蛋自质5.7—10.7％、脂肪2.7—4％,淀粉62—71％,乙种维生素的含量也极为丰富。传说我县远在宋朝就有栽培,清朝我县县志《物产篇》中就有记载,至今也有300多年的历史。长汀作为主要产区,其产量占全省总产的一半以上。且栽培面积大,集中成片,品种多,历史悠久。经验也较丰富,尤其是坚果品质优良,久有盛誉。 Chestnut FagaceAC (FAGACEAC), Castanea (CASTANEN MILL), deciduous trees, for our common cultivation of fruit trees.
