The Air Force’s Wright Laboratory and Loral’s Defense Systems Division have developed a “smart” airborne laser confrontation processor - the unique Multiscreen Countermeasure Processor (UMCP). The device is a central part of the new system and is designed to analyze, sort, track and prioritize infrared missiles that interfere with airborne and ground-launched infrared missiles. According to the Have Glance plan from 1997 to 1990, the Air Force developed the airborne infrared confrontation testing equipment.
